Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Haris was in the limelight after he was forced to return to his country. The batter was deported after Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) denied him a Non-Objection Certificate (NOC) to play in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL)

Haris, who was a part of the Chattogram Challengers’ squad has already appeared for two overseas leagues from July 2023 and 2024 and was thus granted a denial. The 22-year-old featured in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) for B-Love Kandy and the Global T20 Canada for Surrey Jaguars, as allowed by the PCB.

Haris, who landed in Bangladesh in time for the 2024 BPL but founded that he wasn’t grated the NOC. The cricketer took to Instagram to inform about his departure, writing, “Back to ������ ”.

He further added, “Thank you, Chattogram team management and the BCB for taking care of me ad giving me this opportunity. I also flew in time to prepare myself to give some great games to my fans in Bangladesh. Unfortunately, my NOC was not issued. Hence, I will not play any games. I knew my team needed me. Hopefully, I will join them next year. I will definitely miss playing the BPL.”

Speaking of the Chattogram Challengers, while they won by seven wickets in their tournament opener at BPL 2024, they suffered a four-wicket loss against the Khulna Tigers in their next match on Saturday, January 20th. They are currently locking horn with Durdanto Dhaka in Match 5 of the BPL 2024 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
