Yograj Singh, the father of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has given many controversial statements about former Indian skipper MS Dhoni in the past. In his recent interview with Zee Switch, Yograj again blamed Dhoni for destroying the international career of his son Yuvraj Singh’s before saying that he would never forgive him for that.
Earlier, Yograj Singh has made various allegations on MS Dhoni, talking about how the wicket-keeper batter had intentionally ensured India’s loss in the 2019 ODI World Cup semi-final against England. In his latest interview, Yograj said that he would never forgive anyone who has done wrong with him and his family, while talking about Dhoni.
“I won't forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in life. I have never done two things in life - first, I have never forgiven anybody who has done wrong for me, and second, I have never hugged them in my life, be it my family members or my kids,” Yograj Singh was quoted as saying by Crickit by HT.
India should award Yuvraj Singh the Bharat Ratna: Yograj Singh
During his interview, Yograj Singh heaped praise on his son Yuvraj Singh for his immense contribution to Indian cricket. He said that the former Indian cricketer should be awarded the Bharat Ratna for winning the World Cup for India despite suffering from cancer.
Notably, Yuvraj Singh had played a monumental role in India’s 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup triumphs. He was player of the tournament in the 2011 World Cup for scoring 362 runs and taking 15 wickets.
“That man (MS Dhoni) has destroyed the life of my son, who could have played four to five years more. I dare everyone to give birth to a son like Yuvraj. Even Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have said in the past that there won't be another Yuvraj Singh. India should award him the Bharat Ratna for playing with cancer and winning the World Cup for the country,” Yograj Singh added.
