While fans are excited to see Captain Cool leading his side in the 2024 season, what caught attention was the new bat sticker. With less than two months before the beginning of another season of the cash-rich league, the five-time IPL-winning captain has intensified his preparations in the nets.
The 42-year-old cricketer underwent knee surgery after the completion of the 2023 season, and it seems that he has recovered from the same. While there were speculations about whether or not Dhoni would continue playing for the Yellow Jersey, ‘Thala’ made it clear that he will play for one more season, as an ode to his fans who showed their support throughout the last season.

Former India captain MS Dhoni was spotted practising with the bat with a sticker of his friend’s shop ‘Prime Sports’. The picture of the bat went viral in no time, and fans were quick enough to decode that it was Dhoni’s way of promoting one of his childhood friend’s sports shops. Notably, ‘Prime Sports’ is owned by his childhood friend Paramjit Singh.
Paramjit Singh has been Dhoni’s companion since his childhood and early training days, and he has helped Dhoni in ways more than one. According to MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Paramjit Singh helped Dhoni get his first bat sponsor.
