The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are hosting the Mumbai Indians (MI) in match 16 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on April 4. Both teams are seeking to improve their standings, with LSG currently in seventh place and MI in sixth. After winning the toss, MI chose to bowl first and in what has been a true captain’s performance, Hardik Pandya has picked up a fifer for MI.
The medium-pacer bowled all of his four overs and has claimed crucial wickets of LSG batters like Aiden Markram, skipper Rishabh Pant, David Miller and the dangerous Nicholas Pooran. While his bowling economy hasn’t been the best, Pandya’s spell of 5-36 (4) has helped Mumbai restrict some of LSG’s hard-hitters like Pant and Pooran.

Although the skipper has taken five wickets for MI, LSG have still managed to put up a big score of 204 on the board for Mumbai to chase. It will be interesting to see which Mumbai players step up on this big occasion and try to take their team over the line.
