In match 39 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) continued their domination over the reigning champions Chennai Super King (CSK). The KL Rahul-led side reigned over the five-time champions for the second straight time, registering a six-wicket win at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
However, after being invited to bat first, the hosts on the back of their skipper’s well-made 108* run knock posted 210 runs on the board. But it was all-rounder Marcus Stoinis who did the part for the Lucknow based franchise. On the back of an unbeaten ton from the Aussie all-rounder, which was also his first in the IPL 2024, helped LSG take the fourth spot in the IPL points table.
As it was MS (Marcus Stoinis) this time to finish off things at the Chepauk Stadium, the LSG took to social media to share a witty post which they captioned, “MS FINISHED OFF IN STYLE IN CHENNAI!” However the post has been going viral on social media, the initials MS here refer to Marcus Stoinis rather than MS Dhoni.
The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side will next take on SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday, April 28, while the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will host the Rajasthan Royals at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Saturday, April 27.
