The newly built Mullanpur Stadium from the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) is likely to be the home ground of Punjab Kings in the IPL 2024. The PCA Secretary Dilsher Khanna spoke to a news agency, stating that the Punjab Kings officials have visited the Mullanpur Stadium, and it is all but certain that the IPL 2024 matches happen here.

In recent weeks, there were some rumours about the India versus Afghanistan T20I match getting held at the Mullanpur Stadium in January. But the PCA Secretary clarified to News18 that there is still some pending work remaining at the venue, which is why that fixture will go down at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.
The official X account of the Punjab Cricket Association sent out a video of the newly built Mullanpur Stadium while announcing that it will be ready soon for the IPL 2024. Dilsher Khanna took one of the media personnel on a detailed tour of the stadium, speaking about the playing area, the grandstands, and the facilities available for the players and the fans.
The reports suggested that the spectator capacity of the Mullanpur Stadium is somewhere around 30,000, with 1800 cars expected to get the parking at the venue. 12 pitches are being currently prepared in the middle, while the net session area for the players is adjacent to gate number one from where the teams will enter the stadium.
The two dressing rooms for the players are quite massive at the Mullanpur Stadium, wherein the players will have a sauna bath, buffet area, shower, and massage area dedicated to them.
