The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports announced the National Sports Awards 2023 as the badminton duo of Chirag Chandrashekhar Shetty and Rankireddy Satwik Sai Raj won the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna awards while the Indian star pacer, Mohammed Shami among 26 sports persons bagged the Arjuna Award.

The winning athletes will be felicitated with the awards on January 9, 2024, by Indian President Droupadi Murmu. Five coaches will be awarded the Dronacharya Award.
