NBA 2K24, the latest edition of the popular basketball video game series, has revealed its top 12 player ratings ahead of its release on September 10. The ratings are based on the players' performance in the 2022-23 NBA season, as well as their potential and popularity.
The highest-rated player in NBA 2K24 is Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic, who has an overall rating of 98. Jokic, who won his second consecutive MVP award last season, led the Nuggets to their first NBA championship in franchise history. He averaged 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game in the season, earning Finals MVP honors as well.
Jokic is followed by five players who are tied at 96 overall: Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid, Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant, and Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry. James, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, had another stellar season at age 38. He averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game. Embiid, who was the MVP last season, averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game.
The next tier of players consists of three players who are rated at 95 overall: Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, and Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler.

These are the top 12 player ratings for NBA 2K24, as revealed by 2K Sports, and we'll get our first look at gameplay on August 14. NBA 2K24 is set to release on September 8 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
To commemorate the game’s 25th anniversary—and as a nod to his playing number—2K Sports announced Kobe Bryant would serve as a cover athlete for 2K24 earlier this year. Preorders for both the Kobe Bryant (standard) and Black Mamba (special) versions of the game were made available in July.
