Last week's NBA trade deadline was far from exciting, however, one trade rumor that raised many eyebrows involved the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. The Warriors reportedly inquired the Lakers about the all-time leading point scorer in the NBA to pair Stephen Curry with LeBron James. In a post-game interview on Wednesday, Curry addressed the Dubs' trade interest in LeBron before the deadline.
The Golden State Warriors ended their five-game winning streak with a loss against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night at the Chase Center. After leading the Clippers by 11 points at the end of the third quarter, the Warriors ended up losing the game 125-130.
In a post-game interview, Curry was asked whether his side's reported trade interest in Lakers superstar LeBron James surprised him. The 35-year-old point guard said, "No, never surprised. It's always a surprise when stuff like that gets out because I'm assuming that every team is making calls that if every fanbase or media group would know about it, it would normalize the conversations that happen in the front office, especially around the trade deadline when you're exploring around the league who's available and who's not.
"Obviously, a guy like Bron, you would probably call just to see. I don't know what the depths of the conversations were, but it was a nice little surprise this morning for sure."

Kawhi Leonard-less Clippers stage comeback win vs. Warriors
After leading the first three quarters, the Warriors failed to continue their lead in the fourth quarter as the LA Clippers dominated Stpeh Curry's side by 16 points to pull off a sensational comeback to win the game by five points. In Kawhi Leaonard's absence due to injury, James Harden (26 points), Paul George (24 points), and Norman Powell (21 points) stepped up to help their side register a road win against the Warriors.
Despite Curry's 41 and Brandin Podziemski's 25-point game , the Dubs failed to extend their winning streak. On the other hand, the Clippers improved their regular season record to 36-17 to maintain the third spot in the Western Conference standings.
In another matchup, the Los Angeles Lakers, in LeBron James' absence, defeated the Utah Jazz 138-122 at the Delta Center on Wednesday night. Anthony Davis registered 37 points, and 15 rebounds while Rui Hachimura had a career-high 36-point game to help the Lakers extend their winning streak to three games.
