In a horrific piece of news, National Football League star and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins passed away in a car accident at the age of 24 on Saturday. The same has been confirmed by his agent Cedric Saunder who told that the former college football star met a car accident in South Florida on Saturday morning.

The news was first broken to the world by ESPN journalist Adam Schefter after which several media reports have confirmed the same.

"Dwayne Haskins was training in South Florida with other Steelers QBs, RBs and WRs. He was killed this morning in South Florida when he got hit by a vehicle. Tragic…," Schefter wrote in one of his tweets.

"Dwayne Haskins, a standout at Ohio State before becoming Washington’s first-round pick and playing in Pittsburgh, died this morning when he got hit by a car in South Florida, per his agent Cedric Saunders. Haskins would have turned 25 years old on May 3," he added.

Haskins' last Instagram post was made a week ago in which he can be seen boasting about the Steelers cruise while promoting a fashion brand. The comment section of his last post is getting filled with messages of "RIP" and condolences as soon as the news has been confirmed by credible sources.

An official word is yet to come from the Steelers as yet, a team he signed with last season.
