In the co-main event of the UFC Fight Night at the Ginasio do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo, Nicolas Dalby of Denmark ended the undefeated streak of 15-0 of the Brazilian Gabriel Bonfim. On Saturday, November 4, the undeniable favourite coming into the welterweight bout was Bonfim, but Dalby managed to get past the odds to secure a massive second round win by TKO.
The first round was tough for Nicolas Dalby while he tried to stay in the contest against Gabriel Bonfim, who was fighting in front of his adoring home fans. But, the second round belonged completely to the Danish MMA fighter, who floored the Brazilian with a series of knee strikes to the head before finishing him off via an impressive exhibition of ground and pound.
It led to the main event of the UFC Fight Night in Sao Paulo, where the up-and-coming star Jailton Almeida of Brazil took on the American Derrick Lewis in a heavyweight bout. Almeida managed to get the better of Lewis via unanimous decision, with the judges scorecard reading (50-44, 50-44, 50-45), after five gruelling rounds of action.
