Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Nitish Rana’s wife Saachi Marwah Rana was harassed and chased by two men, whose identity remains unidentified. The incident took place on Thursday and came under the limelight on Friday late night. The cricketer’s wife, who lives in Delhi also shared a post after this incident and demanded action on the same.
However, her complaint was soon addressed by the Delhi Police. A senior police officer later revealed that a case has been registered of stalking and harassment at the Kirti Nagar Police Station. On F riday, complaint was received at the Kirti Nagar Police Station through email, in which the complainant alleged that on Thursday around 8:30 pm IST, she was going back to her home from Chhatarpur in her car with her driver, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Ghanshyam Bansal address. Soon after this, the two men were also put under custody with the police taking over their duties. In the latest update, the complainant has asked police to go soft with the culprits.
Saachi Marwah Rana has asked the Police to go soft, adding that they are school kids. “Thank you guys for checking on me. Really means lot. The boys are school kids and arrested and they just did it out of rage and under the influence. Thanks for hearing out @delhi.police_official @dcp_westdelhi please go soft I’m sure they must have learnt their lesson,” her message read on Instagram story.
It is to be noted that her husband and Indian cricketer Nitish Rana is currently leading his side KKR in the ongoing edition of Indian Premier League in the absence of Shreyas Iyer. Under Rana’s captaincy, KKR has won four matches, while lost six from their ten matches. After this, they currently sit at the eighth place with eight points.
