Harbhajan Singh trolled a fan hoping to see Indian and Pakistani players compete with and against each other in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 43-year-old took his official X account to quote a fan post, containing pictures of Indian and Pakistani players in the IPL jerseys of the same teams, commenting about how “no Indian have such dreams.”
In the illustrious history of the IPL, Pakistan players have taken part in only the first edition of the tournament back in 2008. Some of the top names to play in the franchise T20 tournament were Sohail Tanvir and Kamran Akmal for Rajasthan Royals, Shahid Afridi for Deccan Chargers, Shoaib Akhtar for Kolkata Knight Riders, and Misbah-ul-Haq for Royal Challengers Bangalore, among others.
A fan took to his X account to share a post, which had the edited pictures of Virat Kohli with Babar Azam in Royal Challengers Bangalore’s jersey, Shaheen Afridi with Jasprit Bumrah in Mumbai Indians’ jersey, and Mohammad Rizwan in Chennai Super Kings’ jersey under MS Dhoni’s captaincy. The fan post reached Harbhajan Singh, the former Indian ODI World Cup winner, who quoted it with a brutal response, which read, “No indian hv such dreams .. you guys plz stop dreaming. wake up now”.
