World No. 2 Novak Djokovic is one of the greatest tennis players alongside retired Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. He has proved himself at various stages and boasts of all-time 23 Grand Slam wins to his name. Known to be one of the best, an instance of the same came into limelight when he was seen rallying with a spatula in place of his tennis racquet in hand.

 

The Serbian, who is currently in New York City ahead of the US Open, traded his racquet with a spatula during an exhibition match. The 36-year-old during an exhibition match at US Open Kids Day, played a rally, winning it just in point. He also celebrated this point with a lap as he was seen playing with several other unconventional objects, namely a baseball bat, a frying pan, a plan of wood.

 

Additionally, it is to be noted that the Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day is an annual children’s tennis event held at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. The days is said to serve as the grand opening of the last and fourth Grand Slam of the year, which commences a day later. The day is said to commemorate the legacy of Arthur Ashe, for empowering young individuals to take up the sport.

 

The second seeded will face Alexandre Muller of France in the Round of 128 on August 29 to begin his campaign at the US Open after a two-year gap.
