India are having the best season at the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. With a brilliant all-round effort from the team, India are unbeaten so far in the competition, having won all eight games. Off late, the Rohit Sharma-led side beat South Africa by 243 runs in a top of the table clash at the Eden Gardens on Sunday, November 5.

Although the match saw Virat Kohli equal the record of Sachin Tendulkar of 49 ODI centuries, in another instance, former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri’s comments from the commentary have also garnered a lot of attention. When Kohli and Shreyas Iyer were batting in the middle, wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan walked out with a message. Just at this moment, Ravi Shastri took a hilarious take on this incident.
Shastri said that if anything goes wrong and one of the batters is dismissed, it will Ishan Kishan, who’ll be held accountable. “Agar aisa vaisa kuch ho gaya to chaddi Kishan ki khichegi galat message dene ke liye,” he was captured saying on air.

The Men in Blue firmed their place at the top of the points table with a win over South Africa, courtesy Virat Kohli’s 101-run knock and Shreyas Iyer’s crucial 77 off 87 balls. A brilliant bowling effort led by Ravindra Jadeja helped the side restrict the Temba Bavuma-led side to 83/10 in 27.1 overs.
Team India will next take on Netherlands at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on November 12 in their last league match before their semifinals clash at the ODI World Cup 2023.
