Former Australian cricketer Glenn McGrath is widely regarded as one of the best fast bowlers to play cricket. He is the second highest wicket-taker of all time for Australia after Shane Warne, and has taken most wickets for the country as a fast bowler. Playing 124 Test matches, 381 ODIs, and two T20Is, McGrath's 948 wickets in his international career, including 563 wickets in Test cricket. His career also includes winning the ODI World Cup with Australia in 1999, 2003, and 2007 respectively. 

Glenn McGrath's remarkable international career began when he made his debut for Australia during a Test match against New Zealand in Perth on November 12, 1993. The fast bowler played his first international match at the age of 23 years. In the following month, Glenn McGrath went on to make his ODI debut in a match against South Africa in Melbourne on December 9, 1993.

Talking about the debut Test match of Glenn McGrath, Australia were bowled out for 398 runs while batting first, with Ian Healy top scoring with an unbeaten 113 runs off 181 balls, hitting 11 boundaries. In reply, New Zealand declared their first innings 419/8, taking a lead of 21 runs as Andrew Jones shined with 143 off 283 balls. Playing his debut Test, Glenn McGrath took two wickets in the first innings by conceding 92 runs in 39 overs. 

After that, Michael Slater scored 99 while Mark Taylor remained unbeaten on 142 off 255 balls as Australia declared their second innings on 323/1, giving New Zealand a target of 303 runs to win. New Zealand were on 166/4 before both teams shook hands, ending the Test match in a draw. Glenn McGrath added another wicket to his bag in the second innings, taking a total of three wickets in his debut Test match.
