Sebastian Vettel, the four-time Formula One world champion, won his last race with Red Bull Racing F1 team at the Brazilian Grand Prix on November 24, 2013. This was the ninth consecutive race win in the 2013 season for the German F1 racer, and 13 victories in total, which led to him putting together the highest tally of points (397) in a single Drivers’ World Championship campaign. His Red Bull Racing teammate Mark Webber finished in second place in the Brazilian Grand Prix 11 years ago, to pull down the curtain on his F1 career in an impressive fashion, while Fernando Alonso of Ferrari finished on the third and final place on the podium.

The start of the Brazilian Grand Prix wasn't smooth sailing for Sebastian Vettel as he was overtaken by Nico Rosberg at the very start. But after the German managed to recapture the lead from his fellow countryman in the second lap, he cruised to his second win at the Interlagos circuit in F1. This was the 39th career victory in the premier class for Sebastian Vettel, finishing a whopping 10.45 seconds ahead of his teammate Mark Webber, while Fernando Alonso was behind by 18.91 seconds.

Sebastian Vettel failed to win single race for Red Bull Racing in 2014 F1 season

The 2013 F1 season ending triumph at the Brazilian Grand Prix helped Sebastian Vettel equal the record of 13 victories in a calendar year of Michael Schumacher, which was broken by Max Verstappen in 2022 with 15 wins before bettering the record with 19 wins last season. He also equalled the record of nine consecutive wins of Alberto Ascari at the time in F1, which was broken by Max Verstappen with 10 wins in a row in 2023. Moreover, Sebastian Vettel had already clinched his fourth straight F1 Drivers’ World Championship title with Red Bull Racing quite a few races before the Brazilian Grand Prix.

During 2014, the next F1 season with Red Bull Racing, Sebastian Vettel failed to win a single race in a calendar year as he could only earn four podium-place finishes in Malaysia, Austria, Singapore, and Japan. After a disappointing season a decade ago, the German moved to Ferrari for the first-time in his F1 career in 2015, to start a new chapter in his racing journey. With that, the Brazilian Grand Prix win in 2013 was the last such triumph for Sebastian Vettel with Red Bull Racing F1 team.
