Mitchell Starc made his IPL debut in 2014 with Royal Challengers Bangalore and played two seasons for the franchise, taking 34 wickets in 27 matches. Then he chose to prioritize international cricket over leagues and did not participate in IPL till 2023. In 2024, he put his name in the auction, and KKR bought him for a whopping INR 24.75 Crore. He justified the price tag in the IPL 2025 final against Sunrisers Hyderabad by taking two key wickets and won his first IPL title.
