F1 racer Daniel Ricciardo, who is also known for his karaoke skills, got one of the best surprises of his life after U2 frontman Bono compared him to himself. Ricciardo was at the Jimmy Kimmel show, where he was told that Bono compared himself to the F1 racer. The U2 frontman Bono spoke at a concert ahead of F1 racing returning to Las Vegas for the first time in 41 years.

During the concert, he introduced his band members on the stage as modern-day F1 participants. Ricciardo has been a huge U2 fan since his childhood, and the Irish singer acknowledged his fandom in the most wholesome ways possible. While introducing his band mates as F1 racers, Bono said, “I'm at home with country music and metal and I am the right person to bring peace between Formula One and NASCAR – on vocals, Daniel Ricciardo!”

Reacting to it, the Aussie, generally known as the rockstar of the F1 said, “It was, like, one of the greatest compliments ever. I was blown away.” Ricciardo went on to say, “It’s one of those moments that, like, yeah, I call them, like, little pinch-me moments. I guess even just people may know me or recognize me that maybe I’m a fan of. I see."

He added, "And I’m like, oh, so, yeah, that’s where I’m like, oh, okay, I was meant to be fanboying you, but anyway.”  Speaking of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, this will be the first time since 1982 that the sport will return to the city.
