The Lucknow Super Giants are locking horns in their seventh match of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. The KL Rahul-led side is hosting defending champions Gujarat Titans in match number 30 of the season at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in an afternoon match.
After being invited to field first, KL Rahul-led side restricted the Titans to 135/6 in the 20 overs. Skipper Hardik Pandya was the only player to smash a half-century, with wicketkeeper-batter Wriddhiman Shah also contributing with a crucial knock of 47. However, the Lucknow based side had all different players at their home. Although skipper KL Rahul smashed a half-century to take his side near the target, he was slammed by the users for playing yet another maiden over.
While some hailed Rahul for achieving this rare feat, some compared this start of his to that of an academy player.
