Orangutan, one of the premier esports organizations in India, was going through a restructuring as it released all its content creators barring Ruchir Jha. However, Orangutan recently announced the release of its content creator, Ruchir Jha, citing allegations of financial impropriety.

According to a statement from the organization, Orangutan was alerted to serious allegations linking Jha to financial misdeeds involving Esports athletes, fellow Creators, and industry stakeholders. Furthermore, instances of misappropriation of resources originally designated for Orangutan have also been brought to light.

“It has come to our attention that there are serious allegations against him, including financial impropriety with Esports Athletes, Creators, and Industry Stakeholders. We have also been made aware of instances involving misappropriation of resources intended for Orangutan. We want to clarify that all dues owed to Mr. Ruchir Jha have been settled. We are actively working to address the financial issues that have arisen. It is important to note that Mr. Ruchir Jha currently owes money to Orangutan from his brand deals,” Orangutan said in its statement.

Although the organization has not yet provided more specifics regarding their accusations, it is obvious from the statements that it was a serious offense. After this serious mishap, it is unlikely that he will be accepted by any other esports organization. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to transparency with its audience.
