The ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND CS Asia Open 2024 is scheduled to start on September 20, 2024, featuring a $100,000 prize pool and the participation of 16 teams from various countries. The tournament will follow an open format, with teams competing through regional qualifiers to secure their spot in the Grand Finals, which will be held in Shanghai in mid-January 2025. 

Teams from regions including Vietnam, Mongolia, Australia, Thailand, China, India, Singapore, Korea, the Philippines, and the Middle East will participate in the tournament.  The qualification process for the India leg of the tournament will begin on September 20, 2024. The qualifiers will start with an online phase, where teams will compete in single-elimination matches.

The top eight teams from this phase will advance to the second phase, which will be conducted locally.

In this phase, the teams will engage in a double-elimination format, featuring both upper and lower brackets. The top two teams from this phase will then proceed to the local LAN finals, where they will have the opportunity to secure a spot in the Grand Finals held in Shanghai.

This year’s event will return to an open tournament format after the invitational event in 2023. Last year, eight international teams competed intensely for the championship title in Shanghai, making a strong impression on the esports community. In 2024, the tournament will include national teams from regions such as Vietnam, Mongolia, Australia, Thailand, China, India, Singapore, Korea, the Philippines, and the Middle East.
