After suffering a thrashing at the hands of Bangladesh in the opening Test of the two-match series against Bangladesh at their home venue in Rawalpindi, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday, August 28 named two more additions to the side with the final Test set to be played from August 30.
Abrar Ahmed and Kamran Ghulan have been added to the side ahead of the second Test after the two were left out initially and were seen featuring in a four-day match for Pakistan Shaheens against Bangladesh A at the Islamabad Club. The side, who played without a spinner during their 10-wicket defeat, have added Abrar, who is said to have a control on subcontinent pitches and Ghulan, to add depth.
Furthermore, Aamir Jamal has also been recalled in the squad, however, his participation is subject to fitness. “Abrar Ahmed and Kamran Ghulan have joined the Pakistan Test squad ahead of the second Test match against Bangladesh, scheduled to take place at the Rawalpindi ricket Stadium from 30 August to 3 September,” PCB’s statement read.
