Mhambrey, who has served as the bowling coach in the Indian setup too and has also coached Indian Under-19 team during the 2020 U19 World Cup, recently ended his three-year stint with Team India under head coach Rahul Dravid. The 52-year-old has earned praises from several players, including the likes of Mohammed Shami, etc. He was lauded for Indian bowlers’ brilliant performance in the World Cups, both in 2023 as well as 2024.
Speaking of the Mumbai Indians, who had a dismal outing in IPL 2024 under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya, would aim to get back to form in the upcoming edition. With the IPL General Council allowing six retentions as per the Player Regulations 2025-2027, the franchise will aim to turn around the things, bolstering the side with more talent.
