The Indian contingent kickstarted their campaign in the French capital city of Paris after an extravagant opening ceremony. While Balraj Panwar remained in contention of the medal after confirming his place in the repechage round, shooting had some disappointing performances. But the day in shooting also some medal hope as Manu Bhaker qualified for the finals of the women’s 10m air pistol final.
On Day 2 of the Paris 2024, some Indian 20 athletes will take the centre stage, which includes the likes of top medal contenders, PV Sindhu, A Sharath Kamal, Manika Batra, among others.
