Gujarat Titans announced Parthiv Patel as their new Assistant and Batting Coach on November 13. With a distinguished 17-year career as a former Indian wicketkeeper-batter, Parthiv brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team. Patel has previously worked with Mumbai Indians and Mumbai Emirates. During his playing tenure in the cash-rich league, the former Indian cricketer represented several teams. 

He was first picked by Chennai Super Kings and was backed as a pure batter. Later, he went on to be a part of the Mumbai Indians' winning side and joined Royal Challengers Bengaluru in his last stint in the league in 2018.  In their official statement, the Ahmedabad-based franchise said,  "With a distinguished 17-year career as a former Indian wicketkeeper-batter, Parthiv brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team." 

The statement further read,  "As the Titans prepare for the upcoming Indian Premier League season, Parthiv's insights into batting techniques and strategies will play a crucial role in enhancing the players' skills. Parthiv, who is known for his sharp cricketing acumen and ability to mentor young talent, will strengthen the coaching staff and contribute to player development and performance." Notably,  Parthiv represented India in in 25 Tests, 38 ODIs and a couple of T20Is in his 17-year-long career.
