The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to sack foreign coach Mickey Arthur, a day after the association parted ways with Grant Bradburn and Andrew Puttick. Regarding this development, PTI claims that PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf and CEO Salman Naseer are set to mediate the final settlement.

These foreign coaches were informed that their services were no longer needed after the trio returned to Lahore after a vacation. They were also told to continue their work at the NCA while former Pakistan captain and current Director of Cricket Mohammad Hafeez would be working with the national team, with a new coaching staff.
However, PCB decided to part ways after the board found out Mickey Arthur, Grant Bradburn and Andrew Puttick didn't have a clause to be forced to work at the NCA permanently. These coaches had signed up to only work with the Pakistan team.
As per PTI, a senior official spoke about how all coaches have found opportunities outside Pakistan. The official said, “After some consultations since Mickey is already with Derbyshire and Puttick and Bradburn have found new assignments it was decided to end the matter amicably and release them from their contracts.”

The senior official further disclosed that the board would pay some months' salaries to compensate the coaches. Arthur, Puttick and Bradburn were brought on by Pakistan Cricket during the tenure of the last chairman, Najam Sethi, in April-May last year.
