On Day 2 of the game, Khan cut the ball to deep cover and ran to collect his 150th run in the 102nd over. Khan kept scoring runs with more assurance and survived a few close calls but played big shots whenever possible and helped the side get past the 200-run mark effortlessly. Not only this, but he, along with Navdeep Saini, stitched a partnership of 205 runs, and took India B close to 300 runs. Khan currently averages at 58.77 after his 10 first-class innings, once said that his father has always pushed him and his brother to bat for long. Our father has conditioned us to score big: Musheer Khan after Ranji Trophy season

Earlier, after the completion of the Ranji Trophy season, Khan had revealed to Wisden that his father, who also happens to be his coach, has pushed him to bat long. Khan said, “Our father has conditioned us to score big. For us, our century starts at 150. He’s told us to play our shots after reaching that milestone. We need to play the whole day, stay at the wicket. And we’re very hungry for runs.”

Needless to say, Khan’s 150 helped the side miraculously and guided Abhimanyu Easwaran and Co. to put up a total of 321 runs. Apart from him, Saini came up with a half century as he contributed 56 runs off 144 balls.
