India is currently facing Sri Lanka in their second Super 4s game at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Tuesday, 12th September. While the Men in Blue are coming on the back of a dominating 228-run win over Pakistan, Sri Lanka registered a 21-run win over Bangladesh in their last match.

While the fans expected something similar in the match against Sri Lanka, the players and the fans were treated to a surprise as India’s top order crumbled after a solid start, going from 80/0 to 213/10 in 49.1 overs.
Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill started well, putting up 80 for the first wicket, but Gill got out to a beauty from Dunith Wellalage. Sharma’s 53 was the only bright spot for India, as the opener became the sixth Indian and the 15th overall to complete 10,000 runs in the format. Additionally, Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul got some starts for India but could not get beyond the 30s.
