In a significant development, Porsche has refuted the possibility of entering Formula 1 after partnership talks failed with Red Bull. Porsche confirmed the development on Friday claiming that its negotiations with Red Bull for a partnership could not reach a fruitful conclusion and stated that talks will not continue.

Though there is no official confirmation over the same, reports had suggested that the partnership would have involved Porsche buying a 50 per cent stake in Red Bull's team. The talks between both prominent stakeholders in the motor sporting industry was considered crucial since Audi announced that it will become an engine supplier in F1 for the first time in the 2026 season.

In its statement, Porche has underlined that premise for a deal was “always a partnership on an equal footing that covers an engine partnership and the team”.

Meanwhile, Porsche has further claimed that both the parties could not come to a common page, but it will keep observing and exploring different means to be part of the lucrative sports. In contrast to Audi, Porsche has only raced in two complete seasons 1961/62, with their only victory being Dan Gurney’s in the 1962 French Grand Prix.

As per reports, Audi will announce they will supply by the end of the year although it is widely expected to be Sauber, who presently race as Alfa Romeo with a Ferrari engine.
