Arsenal fans were left frustrated and disappointed on Saturday, as their opening Premier League game against Nottingham Forest was delayed by 30 minutes due to a problem with the new e-ticketing system at Emirates Stadium. The game was supposed to kick off at 12:30 p.m. local time or 5:00 p.m. IST but was pushed to 1:00 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. IST. as thousands of fans were still stuck outside the stadium, unable to enter the stadium.

The reason for the delay was an apparent error with the club's new digital ticketing system. The new system was introduced this season to replace the traditional paper tickets. The club had urged fans to download the official Arsenal app and use it to access their tickets and scan them at the turnstiles.

However, many fans reported that the app was not working properly or that their tickets were not showing up on the app. Some fans also complained that they hadn’t received confirmation emails or QR codes for their tickets.  The delay caused a lot of anger and frustration among the fans, who had been looking forward to watching their team play after a long summer break.

“This afternoon's game with Nottingham Forest will now kick off at 1 pm (UK), due to a delay at the turnstiles,” Arsenal said in a statement.
