In 2023, the Thane-born cricketer pipped England’s James Bracey, who was unbeaten on 224 runs off 151 balls for Gloucestershire against Somerset in the Metro Bank One Day Cup in August too. The third-highest List A score of the year went to Prithvi Shaw’s national teammate Shubman Gill, who notched up 208 runs off 149 balls last January for India against New Zealand in an ODI at home.
Brindon Bagirathan, the friend of Prithvi Shaw, who played a key role in him turning up for Northamptonshire in 2023, posted an Instagram story, sharing a creative from ESPNcricinfo about the highest List A scorers of the year with the caption “ The Prince named @pri thvishaw is always at the TOP”. The Indian cricketer acknowledged his friend’s story, resharing it on his official Instagram account to let everyone know once again that he is still a force to be reckoned with, in the cricketing world.
Moreover, shortly after scoring a List A double hundred for Northamptonshire against Somerset, Prithvi Shaw suffered a knee injury in England, cutting short his county stint with the cricket club. He is still recovering from his knee injury after the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) didn’t pick him for the first two matches of the Ranji Trophy 2024 for Mumbai.
