If accepted by the 24-year-old currently linked with a potential move to Real Madrid, it would be the highest-paid sports contract of all time and provide the Frenchman with a strong chance of topping Forbes' list of The World's Highest-Paid Athletes each year for the foreseeable future. The development was reported by Defensa Central, which stated the extension of 10 years, will allow the Frenchman to earn  €1 billion ($1.11 billion) with an extra 12 months optional.

Mbappe has been a long-term target for Real Madrid, who are keen to sign the World Cup-winning forward as their marquee signing. Mbappe has also expressed admiration towards the Spanish club and president Florentino Perez.
