The 10th match of the Pakistan Super League will witness Islamabad United challenging Quetta Gladiators at Karachi National Stadium. Both the teams are coming from straight loss in their last games; Multan Sultan defeated Quetta Gladiators led by wicket-keeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed in a close encounter. While despite a blistering knock from the skipper Shadbad Khan (91 off 42 ), Islamabad United failed to chase down the target of 217, posted by Multan Sultans.

Pitch Report:

The pitch at Karachi National Stadium has witnessed some massive totals in the tournament, proving that batters are having a great time playing at the pitch. However, the dew factor could play a crucial role as well.

Team Analysis:

Quetta Gladiators-

Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Gladiators have suffered two losses so far in the tournament, in contrast to a win against Karachi Kings in their campaign so far. In their last outing, the team failed to chase down 174 in 20-overs against Multan Sultans. Naseem Shah's 5-wicket haul was vital in a match against Karachi Kings, while Ahsan Ali (57 off 43) and Will Smeed (30 off 35) put the team to chase down a mere total of 114 runs. Ben Duckett and Iftikhar Ahmed played crucial innings in the match against Multan Sultans but failed to ensure victory. The team has a decent balance of batsmen and bowlers but to win a game against Islamabad United, all need to pull up their socks and perform collectively.

Islamabad United-

Shadab Khan did everything he could do in the match against Multan Sultan. He scored 91 off just 42 balls, but the lack of assistance from other players forced his efforts to go in vain. Even amongst all bowlers, the best economy came from the skipper himself; he bowled 4-overs with an economy of 7.20, while the team's premium fast bowler Hasan Ali conceded 52-runs in four overs, an economy of 13.00. Due to impressive batting from Alex Hales and Paul Stirling, United ensured thumping victory against Peshawar Zalmi by 9-wickets. The team has shown a lot of potential in their two matches and can do well in their next game against Gladiators.

Squad:

Quetta Gladiators: Ahsan Ali, Will Smeed, Ben Duckett, Sarfaraz Ahmed (c & wk), Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Sohail Tanvir, James Faulkner, Ashir Qureshi, Mohammad Hasnain, Naseem Shah

Islamabad United: Paul Stirling, Alex Hales, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Mubasir Khan, Azam Khan (wk), Shadab Khan (c), Asif Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Hasan Ali, Marchant de Lange

Match Prediction:

Conclusion: Both the teams had unfortunate outings in their last match, but looking at players, Islamabad United seems to have the upper hand. They will shock Gladiators and will win the match.
