PUBG Mobile Esports recently announced the details of the 2024 PUBG MOBILE Global Championships (PMGC). The event which is scheduled to take place next year in December, will be hosted in the United Kingdom (UK), the PUBG Mobile Esports confirmed on Saturday, 9 December.
The announcement was made during the opening ceremony of the 2023 PMGC Grand Finals, which are underway in Istanbul. It is to be further noted that for the first time a major PUBG MOBILE event is being held in Western Europe since 2018.
PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024 to have prize pool of $3 million
During the revelation of the venue for the PMGC 2024, the Senior Director of PUBG MOBILE Global Esports, James Yang also revealed the prize pool. The top tier tournament in the PUBG calendar will see a prize sum of USD 3 million. It is one of the Tier-1 tournaments in the PUBG Esports along with PMGO, which be held in Brazil in 2024.
Talking about the PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO), the other top tier event, will be held in Brazil in March-April next year. Young also announced the prize pool for the month-long tournament, which boosts of USD 500K. However, the mid-season tournament, which is set to be the next big chapter of PMWI will be held in Riyadh (KSA) in July 2024 will have a prize pool of USD 3 million.
