With only a handful of races left in the ongoing 2023 season, Max Verstappen finds himself at yet another opportunity of nailing a Formula 1 Grand Prix.

So utterly committed to the cause of going super fast was he in Q3 for the Qatar Grand Prix quali that he nearly gathered his pole position in the very first run. Alas, an effort towards the closing stage of his first run in the final quali round saw him jaded, though not for longer.

Ultimately, grabbing his tenth pole of 2023 Formula 1 world championship and his 30th overall, Verstappen dazzled at Losail setting   a belter of a lap time at 1:23:778.

This was, lest it is forgotten, Verstappen’s maiden pole at one of the newest additions to the Formula 1 world: the Qatar Grand Prix.

The winner of the last event at the very venue, Sir Lewis Hamilton will begin his 2023 Qatar race from third on the grid, right behind his much younger British teammate, George Russell.

In so doing, SportsTiger reckons Sunday’s contest could well be a thriller between the Red Bull out in the front and the two Silver Arrows.

Having said that, realistically speaking, it’ll be hard to curb Verstappen’s Max-imum attack at the Losail international circuit even if the famed Dutchman is driving here for only the second time ever (much like the rest of the nineteen on the grid).

Having set 28 fastest laps already in a career that’s only soaring with success, the 26-year-old is likely to grab win #49.

That’s, unless, of course, someone whether from the Mercedes contingent or the Aston Martin squad can stop him.

So can Alonso, who begins from fourth on the grid, do that?

Can sir Lewis rise to the occasion and deny Verstappen the win, even if that wouldn’t mean snatching the driver’s title for this year?

We have ahead of us 57 captivating laps that’ll run over a race distance of 190.54 miles.

SportsTiger reckon it’s Max Verstappen’s race to lose.

Having said so, SportsTiger requests you to place your bets cautiously and wisely, and be mindful that gambling can be addictive and harmful in the end.
