Pakistan Super League franchise Quetta Gladiators had a hilarious suggestion for the Asia Cup 2023 organisers. Notably, several matches of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 fell prey to the monsoon showers in Sri Lanka. The Super Fours match between India and Pakistan also came to a halt during the first innings on September 10, Sunday. While the game was paused for around two hours, the PSL team Quetta Gladiators had their own suggestion for the Asia Cup organisers.

Gladiators advised the organisers to do something they did a few years ago to dry the wet outfield. During the PSL eliminator encounter between  Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi in 2018, organisers used a helicopter to dry the damp ground.

Notably, cricketing arch-rivals India and Pakistan locked horns for the second time in the season in the Super Fours stage on Sunday. While the scoreboard of the Indian team read 147 with the loss of two wickets in 24.1 overs, sudden rainfall brought the game to a sudden halt and the high-octane game was paused for more than two hours.

Coming back to the tournament, this is not the first time that the India vs Pakistan match has been affected due to the rain. Earlier, their group-stage match also got abandoned without a single ball being bowled in the second innings. In short, India's matches in the tournament so far have been affected due to monsoon showers.
