Real Madrid seemingly will have a very busy transfer window in the upcoming summer if all the rumours are to be believed; and the latest one in the lot is around Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi. The Real Sociedad defender, who was linked with a move to Arsenal, seems to be on the radar of Los Blancos, who will look to hijack the deal to sign this player.
While it was initially understood that Arsenal were in advanced stages to sign the Spanish midfielder by triggering his 60 million euro release clause; Real Madrid now seem to enter the race to sign this highly sought-after defensive midfielder.
As of 16th March 2025, it was reported by David Ornstein that Zubimendi is in very advanced stage talks with Arsenal and there is a positive feeling around the club regarding the player's transfer. However recent news seems to be suggesting that Real Madrid will include Zubimendi in their rebuild plan for this upcoming summer transfer window alongside names like Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen.
