Currently, they are placed in the A+ category, which is provided to players who play for the national team in all three forms of the sport.

Shreyas Iyer set to regain BCCI central contract

India middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer might earn back the central contract from the board. Last year, Iyer’s exclusion from the central contracts 2024 became a huge headline. Along with Iyer, Ishan Kishan was also dropped from the list of contracts released in 2024. In the last one year, Shreyas did a magnificent job for India in white-ball cricket.

Recently, he played an essential role in India’s magnificent title success in the Champions Trophy 2025. The 30-year-old notched up with 243 runs in five matches at an average of 48.60 and ended up as the second-highest run-scorer in the ODI extravaganza played in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates’ Dubai. Besides Shreyas, there might be positive news for Abhishek Sharma, Varun Chakravarthy, and Nitish Kumar Reddy as they are also likely to be handed their maiden contracts from the board.
