The Rohit Sharma-led Team India is currently hosting Afghanistan in the three-match T20I series. While the Men in Blue have already claimed the series 2-0, with the final T20I set to be played on Wednesday, 17th January 2024 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

However, the team landed in Bengaluru after six-wicket win in Indore, an incident after their 2nd T20I win is going viral. A police officer named Ranjeet Singh, shared a picture of an autograph from skipper Rohit Sharma. The police personnel, who said that he had asked for an autograph last year was handed to him this time, acknowledging the skipper’s gesture.
“Love your energy. Wish you lot of success,” Rohit wrote in a piece of paper shared by the police officer named Ranjeet Singh, who received it through the team bus driver.
Moreover, in a post on Facebook, the police personnel had shared his experience from last year when Team India toured Indore. “When the Indian team came to Indore for the last time, I met India’s captain Rohit Sharma ji. I asked him about autograph, but I could not take him due to duty, but the captain remembered this. This time they went to India team bus driver sir wrote his autograph and his love towards me in words and gave it to driver sir and where else can he reach this crazy man Ranjeet,” he wrote extending his gratitude to the skipper for his message and gesture.

Speaking of the ongoing T20I series, while Rohit Sharma, who made his return to T20Is after last featuring at the 2022 T20 World Cup, did not make any impact with the bat as he went for a duck in both, first as well as second T20I. However, Kohli could only add 29 runs in the only match he has featured so far, while Shivam Dube starred with his all-round effort, along with a gritty knock from Yashasvi Jaiswal (68) in second T20I.
