The Indian team demolished England in a 68 -run victory to qualify for the T20 World Cup 2024 final. This will be the first T20 World Cup final for the Men in Blue after a decade as they featured in the finale of the 2014 edition and lost to Sri Lanka. Now, Team India is slated to take on South Africa in the final on July 30.

Talking about the game,  India was asked to bat first and struggled initially in rain-affected conditions.  After losing Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant cheaply, the Hitman built a vital partnership with Suryakumar Yadav to bring India back into the game. The duo played a few aggressive shots to keep the run rate up and took the spinners after the rain break.

After this pair, Hardik Pandya; Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja played a few vital cameos and helped post a massive total of 171. Rohit top-scored with his brilliant 57. For England, Chris Jordan was the pick of the bowler as he ended up with figures of 3-37.

Chasing this total, the Indian bowlers were on the mark from the word and reduced England to 39-3 at the end of the powerplay. Then Kuldeep Yadav came to bowl and picked up 3-19 in his four over to turn the game around and seal the game for India. Supporting Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel picked up key wickets to help register a massive 68-run win.
