Team India captain Rohit Sharma recently featured in latest episode of Breakfast with Champions, hosted by Gaurav Kapoor and starring famous English song-writer Ed Sheeran. Speaking at the famous show, the Indian skipper was asked about his future in the international cricket. It is to be noted that Rohit missed a place in the 2011 World Cup squad under MS Dhoni’s leadership and he came close to clinching the title last year but lost to Australia by six wickets.
While many have assumed that the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 might be the last for Rohit Sharma, the famous English singer questioned the 36-year-old on his future in international cricket. During the conversation, Sheeran asked Rohit whether he sees himself running after eight months or so after retirement. “I haven’t really thought about it (coaching), but I don’t know where life takes you. I am still playing well at this point in time, and so I am thinking I am going to continue for a few more years, and then, I don’t know,” Rohit quickly replied.
“Until India wins the World Cup?” Ed Sheeran then asked Rohit Sharma, to which he replied, “Yeah, I really want to win that. I really want to win that World Cup for India.”
