Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt remarked startlingly about former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram. Dutt praised Akram for his reverse bowling tactics during an event in Dubai on January 31, Wednesday. Akram was one of the most lethal bowlers to have played the game and was regarded as the advocate of reverse swing bowling during his playing days.

Not only this, but he was also known as the ‘Sultan of Swing’, and was one of the most dangerous bowlers of his time due to his techniques. The Pakistan cricket stalwart became the first bowler to pick 500 ODI wickets, which he achieved during the 2003 World Cup. The 57-year-old’s cricket career ended when the selectors sacked him following Pakistan’s exit from the ODI World Cup 2003.

Dutt was present at an event in Dubai, where he called him ‘one of the greatest cricketers’ he has seen. He also said that Akram would scare other cricketers with his reverse bowling techniques. Dutt said, “I’m honoured to be here with Wasim bhai, he is a brother I know for many many years and one of the greatest cricketers I have seen in my entire life.”
