Former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar met Indian industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata. The cricketing legend shared a picture with the 86-year-old former chairman of Tata Sons on social media and shared that he had a 'memorable conversation' with him. Not only this, but he also expressed his delight to have had the opportunity to converse with Tata about automobiles, wildlife, and philanthropy.
Tendulkar took to social media to share his picture with Tata and wrote, “Last Sunday was memorable, as I had the opportunity to spend time with Mr. Tata. We shared stories and insights about our mutual love for automobiles, our commitment to giving back to society, passion for wildlife conservation, and our affection for our furry friends.” He added, “Conversations like these are invaluable and remind us of the joy and impact our passions can bring to our lives. Sachin Tendulkar Foundation joins hands with Hi 5 Youth Foundation to build basketball courts in Andhra Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh
The Sachin Tendulkar Foundation (STF) joined hands with the Hi 5 Youth Foundation to construct basketball courts in Arunachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. The two foundations have been partnering since 2020 to build sports infrastructure in schools. Speaking about the collaboration, Sachin Tendulkar said, “Sports is a powerful tool that not only keeps children physically fit but also builds character, self-esteem and confidence. It empowers children from marginalized backgrounds with the required skills that can help them win in all fields of life.”
He added, “The expansion of our association with the Hi 5 Youth Foundation to develop two more basketball courts for children in the tribal communities and girls in particular is one more step in our vision to transform India from a sports-watching nation to a sports-playing nation.”
