FC Barcelona fans flooded social media after former Catalans centre-back Gerard Pique announced plans to become a coach. The Culers were quick to demand that the former Spain international take over Bacra's managerial role with ex-FCB star Xavi has had a turbulent 2023-24 season so far. The Blaugrana are third in the La Liga table behind leaders Real Madrid and Girona, the surprise team of the season.

Coming back to Pique, the nine-time La Liga winner took to X (formerly Twitter) and announced that he had missed football over the previous year and hence plans to come to football as a coach. The Spaniard further revealed that he will share more details by the end of this week.
Gerard Pique, translated from Spanish, said "Its a new year, and after thinking carefully, I have decided to return to football. I miss it a lot. This time it won't be as a player. It will be as a coach. I'll share more details at the end of the week."
Hence Barcelona's fans were vocal on X and wanted Pique to come to the club, especially after the Catalans edged past fourth-tier side UD Barbastro in a 3-2 win in Copa del Rey R32. Check out some of the reactions here:
