India and Pakistan haven’t played a bilateral series since 2012, due to the political tensions between both the nations. But regardless, they have competed against each other regularly during the ICC tournaments and the Asia Cup. Moreover, India last toured Pakistan for a Test and ODI series in 2006.
Whenever India and Pakistan face other in multi-national cricket tournaments, it turns out to be a huge event where fans from both the countries fill he stadium with joy and enthusiasm. Because of this, former Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal said that India and Pakistan should visit each other for bilateral series.
“Even if the India versus Pakistan match happens on the moon, it will be huge. There is a lot of love between India and Pakistan and we must go to each other’s countries,” Saeed Ajmal was quoted as saying by Indian Express.

During his interview, Saeed Ajmal also heaped praise on star Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah and called him intelligent. Bumrah has been star of the Indian bowling line up in the last few years. The right-arm pacer was also adjudged player of the tournament in the 2024 T20 World Cup after helping India to win the tournament with his tremendous bowling performances in the USA and the Caribbean.
“I like Virat Kohli, Joe Root, Babar Azam, and Rohit Sharma, they are good players” Saeed Ajmal said. “Jasprit Bumrah is a very intelligent bowler and intelligence is required with speed,” he further added.
