Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar made a return to the cricket ground for the One World One Family Cup charity match on January 18, Thursday. The former batting sensation led the One World team, consisting of names like Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, and Danny Morrison. Seeing his return to the cricket ground after so many years sent his fans on a nostalgia trip, including his daughter Sara Tendulkar. Tendulkar-led side locked horns with Yuvraj Singh’s One Family side, which consists of names like Yusuf Pathan, Mutaiah Murlitharan, Venkatesh Prasad, and more.
Sara took to Instagram and posted videos and photos from the match featuring the former India cricketer. She captioned one of the videos, ‘Nostalgia’. Notably, the one-off T20 match was hosted by the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission. The objective behind hosting the match was to raise awareness regarding child healthcare. The match featuring former cricketers from various nations, took place at the Sai Krishnan Cricket Stadium in Sathya Sai Grama, Bengaluru.
It was the first match that took place at the newly constructed stadium. One Family posted a total of 180 with the loss of six wickets after One World won the toss and opted to field first. The match game also saw Tendulkar bowling a successful over as he picked rival opener Darren Maddy’s wicket. Maddy remained his side’s top scorer with his 51-run knock in 41 balls. Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh picked two wickets for the Tendulkar-led side.

In the second inning, Alviro Petersen contributed 74 runs off 50 balls to help the side chase down the target easily. The captain pulled up 27 runs in 16 balls to guide the side to a four-wicket win over Yuvraj Singh and Co.
