The Legends League Cricket Masters opener between India Maharajas and Asia Lions saw some good game between the veterans of cricket. Twitter started to erupt after Afridi and Gautam Gambhir, skippers of the two sides shook hands at the toss, calling back time on their on-field rivalry.

Amid one such incident during the match was the one when Asia Lions skipper Shahid Afridi tried to almost hug the female on-field umpire. This incident took place when the Asia Lions won the match by nine runs and Afridi came to hug Harbhajan Singh who remained not out at 5 during the chase. Just when Afridi realised the lady umpire, he backed off and shook hands with her.

Earlier, netizens poured in mixed reactions as a photo of Gautam Gambhir shaking hands with former rival Gautam Gambhir went viral from the toss. The two have previously during their playing days has engaged in heated on-field brawls.
Talking about the match, the Asia Lions won the tournament opener by nine runs after India Maharajas’ failed to chase the total set by the lions (165 runs). Skipper Gautam Gambhir was the leading run-scorer for the side but his knock of 54 went in vain with them losing the match. They will next lock horns with Aaron Finch-led World Giants on March 11 at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha.
