A source informed that the cricketer wasn’t feeling well for the entire day and was running high on fever. He also took medicine and slept in the dressing room. The source told The Indian Express, “He was not feeling well for the entire day and was running high on fever, which was the main reason he came out to bat late. He was feeling weak and he slept in the dressing room after taking medicine.”
He added, “But he wanted to bat despite feeling low. We have got his blood test done for malaria and dengue. We are waiting for the results. Till then, he will spend the night in a hospital.” The cricketer faced 59 balls and hit four boundaries and one maximum during his stay on the crease. Notably, this is Shardul’s first domestic match after his foot surgery in June in London.
