Shaadi.Com CEO and Shark Tank judge Anupam Mittal extended a helping hand to Nepal cricketer Lalit Rajbanshi who has been struggling financially. Recently, a page named ICC Asia Cricket on Twitter revealed the financial crisis that the Nepal cricketer has been through. According to it, Rajbanshi cannot afford his own bat and hence he has been using the bats of his teammates.
The 24-year-old cricketer was a part of Nepal’s team for the Asia Cup 2023. This was the first time that Nepal participated in the continental showpiece. The 24-year-old was quoted as saying, "I've bat to play in nets, but I don't have a suitable one for international matches. During actual games, I rely on my teammates' bats & they lend me their bats. I mostly use Kushal Bhurtel bat."
The tweet caught Mittal’s eyes and he extended financial aid to the athlete. The business giant wrote, “Pls put him in touch with me, can try & help him with his kit” Speaking of the tournament, India, under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, booked their spot in the finale of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023.
India defeated Pakistan and reigning champions Sri Lanka in two consecutive matches and with it, made it to the top two of the ACC event. The Men in Blue will lock horns with the winner of Sri Lanka vs Pakistan in the summit clash on September 17, Sunday.
